It is a digital signature that automatically states that you sign as a lawyer.
With a regular eID or itsme® you sign as a citizen by default. To sign as a lawyer, there is a specific electronic lawyer signature.
This signature works with the itsme® app you already know, and automatically adds your title as a lawyer and your unique lawyer number when you sign.
This way you are always correctly identified as a lawyer when you sign electronically. This service is optional and DPA offers it free of charge.
